Crowfoot in Cubism

crowfoot in cubism24″ x 30″, Acrylic on canvas, 2011

My portraits of historical native chiefs in cubism have been a hit and bestseller since I first started doing them in 2009. I don`t know what it is about these paintings that sell so fast. I think it`s because no one ever combined cubism with native portraits. As far as I know, I haven`t seen anyone do it. In other words, if Picasso was a native artist, his work would look something like this. In this peice I portray “Crowfoot” of the Blood/Blackfoot tribe. I plan on doing more of these, so if this is your flavor in art, stay tuned. – Riel Benn (click on image to view larger version)
